Monthly and Annual Meeting

Knights of Columbus




I. Call to Order: 8:10 PM

Board Members Present:

President-Joe Tringale; Vice-President-Rick Archambault;Treasurer-Phil Good; Picture Coordinator-Scott Robertson; Travel team Coordinator-Bill Mathews; Intramural Coordinator-Gary Hickey; Secretary-Mark Pistorino; Registrar – Kevin Horrigan


II. Secretary's Report:

·        Minutes from August meeting read and accepted.


III. Treasurer's Report:

·        Phil Good read and submitted monthly Treasurer's Report which was accepted.

·        Ending balance - $44,300 in checking account, $44,991 in term deposit and $59,708 in the field account. Total balance $149K (of which $104,609 is reserved for field related expenditures) as of 9/8/05.


IV. Intramurals:

Extra shirts being ordered for 5-8 to account for larger teams than expected. 19 player’s maximum/team.  A few extras will be available for other coaches who need a larger shirt for a player.

Rainout process and net responsibilities discussed.

Kindergarten- No practices (at least for the first few weeks) Practice and games will occur on Saturday morning as part of the “K” program.

Location of parents/spectators in relation to fields, players and coaches was discussed.  Age director displayed a map, to keep the process organized on Saturday.

Parking at Woodville discussed.

Equipment requirements (soccer cleats, no jewelry, shin guards)

Even playing time, substitution rules, and other rules and coaching protocols discussed.

V.   Travel Teams

          Field assignments and lining schedules sent out.

VI. Pictures

Sept 17 and 18th. Scott is coordinating volunteers and making schedule adjustments as necessary.

          T-Stop will be selling additional clothing, bags etc., as a fundraiser.

VIII. Middlesex Youth Soccer League

Coaches need to check to see if re-scheduling is necessary for Columbus Day weekend.

State sponsoring intramural tourney Oct. 1st and 2nd in Framingham and Worcester. Teams are welcome to sign-up.

Registration Deadline is Nov. 20th for spring season.


IX. Referees

          Referee assignments for first two assigned.

          27 Grade 9 referees and 2 Grade 8’s

Zero tolerance on arguing with Referees. Refer problems to Referee coordinator.

X. Other Business

No practicing on varsity field or at Walton Field when varsity is playing.

Thanks to coaches for getting things done in a timely manner.

Line paint ordered, may need additional lining equipment to accommodate new paint cans.

Important dates

o       September 10th & 11th – Start of season
