Meeting Minutes

I. Call to Order: 8:08 PM

Board Members Present:

President-Joe Tringale; Treasurer-Phil Good; Secretary-Mark Pistorino; Registrar – Kevin Horrigan; Travel Coordinator Bill Mathews;Vice-President – Rick Archambault

 

II. Secretary's Report:

• Minutes from July meeting read and accepted

 

III. Treasurer's Report:

·        Phil Good read and submitted monthly Treasurer's Report which was accepted.

·        Ending balance - $78,515 in checking account, $46,103 in term deposit and $72,916 in the field account. Total balance $197,534.

 

IV. Intramurals:

• Age Directors have player lists and numbers of teams.
• Coaches list for each age group need to be submitted for each age group. Need email addresses, phone numbers and date of birth for each coach.  Also need CORI’s for those coaches who didn’t submit last year. 
• Coaches clinic scheduled for August 27^th at 6:00 PM. Walton Field
• Age directors are to pick-up shirts at T-Stop on Friday the 25^th.
• Age Directors to pick-up equipment bags at cage prior to the 27^th.
• Age Directors will distribute equipment and rosters, and consent form package to coaches on the 27^th.
• First games will be played on September 9^th.
• K – Blatz
• B2 & G2 – Moulton
• G3&4 – Moulton
• B3&4 – Sullivan
• G5-8 – Walton
• G5-8 Moulton
• Two CORI coaches/team. At least one CORI coach at practice or games, otherwise cancel.  Another parent/helper is allowed on sideline.

 

 

V.               Travel Teams/MYSL

• 2006 Commissioner’s Cup – 3 teams made Tournament
• MTOC - GU14 Winners
• Practice permits.
• Walton practice field & Mapleway for month of August.
• Teams can start practicing.
• Uniform sizes need to be submitted to Rick Archambault by August 4^th.
• Registration sheets need to be turned in tonight.
• Coaches to email Bill M, with practice locations, times and days.
• Paul Melanson will confirm Middlesex Youth Soccer coaches meeting date and times, and contact coaches with Bill Mathews.
• Meet with Rick to arrange equipment pick-up.

 

VI. Pictures

·        September 23^rd & 24^th tentatively scheduled for pictures. Scott is waiting for confirmation from High School.

VII. Registrar

·        Registration still open.  Late registrations will be accepted through the registrar only (mail or in-person) until August 31^st.

·        1023 Intramural Players and 233 Travel Players registered to date.

 

VIII. Town Coordinator

·        See Travel Team section.

  

IX. Other Business – President/Vice President

·        Field lining and Net set-up/breakdown discussed.

§         Mark Slafsky will have B&G2 nets and G3&4 nets.  First game Home team picks-up and sets up, Last game home team breaks-down and returns.

·        Transition of Officers

§         Need volunteers for nomination to next years BOD’s. 

·        Joe Walsh memorial bronze plaque is on order.  Dedication will be at a Girls varsity game in late-October.

·        Coaches “G” Course – August 21^st     6:30-10:30 at Civic Center

·        Coaches U12 Specialty Clinic – August 14^th  7-9 at Civic Center

·        Bill Mathews will contact coaches about attending courses

·        Steve Coyne will set-up “F” course (8 hrs) this Fall and “E” course (16 hrs) next Spring.
