Monthly Meeting Minutes

November 1st 2007

Knights of Columbus

 

I. Call to Order: 8:10 PM

Board Members Present:

Present - President-Jim Fitzgerald; Vice President- Mike Boudreau; Travel Coordinator-Steve Logan; GM-Mark Pistorino; Treasurer-Joe Tringale; MYSL Rep. Steve DeGaravilla; Intramural Coordinator- Kevin Horrigan; Registrar –John Bosco; Webmaster - Dan White

 

II. Secretary's Report:

• Minutes from October meeting read and accepted (with minor edits). Edits to correct typo from Treasurer’s report.

 

III. Treasurer's Report:

·        Treasurer reports for October read and accepted.  Ending balance - $73,609 in checking account, $47,501 in term deposit and $89,871 in the field account for a total cash balance of $210,981.

 

 

IV. Vice-President/Equipment Manager:

• Equipment return scheduled for Sunday Nov. 11^th and 18^th, 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Civic Center.
• Mike will purchase a box of indoor balls for winter/spring practices.
• Soccer apparel orders went well with Rod.   Orders should arrive by end of November. We may have another soccer apparel ordering period in the spring. 
• Additional coaches’ jerseys handed out at meeting.

 

V.               Registration:

• Nothing to report

 

VI.     Webmaster

·        Dan will update with equipment return information.

·        Dan will post “coaches wanted” solicitation.

·        Dan will also post need for players as necessary.

 

VII.   President and General Information

·        WHS/WSA Girl’s soccer night didn’t go as well as expected due to numerous other school conflicts that evening for the WSA players.  Next year we intend to start the process earlier.

·        Sub-committee to be formed to update the Constitution/By-Laws

·        Jim will see what is available for indoor facilities for Winter practices

·        Fields committee needs to re-convene.  Jim will contact members soon to try to re-organize.

·        Spring soccer for “K” and Grade “1” program has field concerns which need to be addressed.

·        Next meeting December 6^th.

 

VIII. Pictures

• Scott distributed pictures.
• Any problems have parents contact Crowley directly.
• Crowley messed-up team photo’s (Missed the month of May on the Calendars).
• Next year Scott will have coaches receive 8”x10” team photo’s to make the pass-card process easier (cut out photo’s)

 

IX. Intramural Coordinator

·        No Make-ups, except for the “K” and “Grade 1” programs which will play November 10^th.

·        Netting at Moulton has disappeared.

·        There was some confusion with rain-outs as some coaches chose not to play last Saturday.

X. Travel Coordinator/MYSL

 

• Next MYSL meeting is scheduled for Tuesday November 6^th.  Steve Logan will also attend.
• There were some rainouts last Saturday which will be made-up the week of October 28^th.
• Spring rosters – Need to notify Steve Logan by Nov. 18^th at noon (latest) of any changes. 
• "Adds" and "Drops" need to go thru Registrar John Bosco.
• Steve D will address over-roster issue (GU10IV) at MYSL meeting next week.
• Cards – John Bosco is working on an electronic process for producing and downloading the cards. Steve Logan will distribute.
• U10’s do not need players cards (Coaches Only).
• Coaches need to get Players and Coaches cards back to Steve Logan
• U16 and U18 Rosters due January 18^th.
