Winter Soccer 2021

Wakefield Soccer Association will be offering students in Grade 1 – Grade 6 the opportunity to continue working on their soccer skills through the end of the 2020 season with a 6 week clinic instructed by Director of Coaching, Mackenzie Arment. Sessions will run on Sundays, January 10 through February 14  (6 weeks) at the Wakefield Civic Center.  These will be small group training sessions due to the COVID-19 guidelines provided by MA Youth Soccer and the State of MA.

These sessions are designed for players that want to continue to build on their technical development they worked on through the Fall season.  WSA does plan on offering more clinic opportunities through the Winter months of January through March.  That information will be available at a later date.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 Boys – 12:30 – 1:10 pm

The 6-week winter training sessions will focus on an individual’s core ball control skills along with improving the player’s technical skills such as passing, dribbling and running with the ball.

Note: Grade 1 and 2 players that are NOT currently registered in the Wakefield Soccer Academy program might be able to participate only if discussed with our Director of Coaching at [email protected] ahead of time.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 Girls – 1:30 – 2:10 pm

The 6-week winter training sessions will focus on an individual’s core ball control skills along with improving the player’s technical skills such as passing, dribbling and running with the ball.

Note: Grade 1 and 2 players that are NOT currently registered in the Wakefield Soccer Academy program might be able to participate only if discussed with our Director of Coaching at [email protected] ahead of time.

Grades 3 and Grade 4 – 2:30 – 3:10 pm

This clinic (Grades 3 and 4 only) focuses on an individual’s technical development as a u-10 player which includes technical skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, first touch, and SAQ training (speed, agility, quickness)

Grade 5 and Grade 6 – 3:30- 4:10 pm

This clinic focuses on an individual’s technique as a u-12 player which includes technical skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, first touch, settling the ball out of the air and SAQ training (speed, agility, quickness)

Training sessions will be held on Sundays at the Wakefield Civic Center at the following times:
