Tots / Pre-K / Kindergarten

The framework for each of the two intramural seasons, spring and fall, will be designed and run under the guidance of our full time Director of Coaching and executed with great care by all of the volunteer coaches. Although this is a recreational league, there is a week to week practice curriculum in which coaches are educated on the finer points to help advise kids at all levels.  The Tots curriculum includes fun activities teaching basic coordination and soccer fundamentals.  The curriculum for Pre-K and K includes focused skill development followed by small-sided games, 4 players on each ‘side’ (4 v 4) and no goalkeepers.

We highly recommend that players stay in the correct program that corresponds with their age and grade in school.

Age recommendations for these programs:

  • Tots - 2.5 to 3.5 years old
  • Pre-K - 3.5 to 5 years old
  • Kindergarten - 5+ years old

During all Wakefield Soccer Association Tots and Pre-K programs, parents/guardians of players are required to remain on site and accessible at all times.
