This 8-week recreational division is designed to give each player the chance to develop their skills and foster an excitement for the sport of soccer in a fun and positive environment.
The Fall season will run from early September through the beginning of November.
Players do not attend an evaluation session. We will create evenly matched teams, which will be coached by parent volunteers. We will seek to create separate boys and girls team for this program. Teams will have one program-wide practice session per week on a weeknight with all players in the age group, and a game each week on Saturdays.
Games will predominantly be played against other Wakefield teams, though we will explore the possibility of expanding to include occasional matches with similar level teams from neighboring towns. Even as these games are designed to bring out the enthusiasm and competition of your soccer player, WSA will look to also provide the structure for the rules of the game, including a referee. However, scores and standings are not the significant goals in creating what the foundation of this youth recreational soccer is striving for, therefore no scores or standings are published.
