To participate in any WSA soccer activity, adults (coaches, administrators, referees, volunteers, etc) must go through a registration process every year to comply with Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (“MYSA”) , state, and federal regulations. Once completed, an adult credential will be provided, allowing you to participate in this soccer year (September 1 – August 30).
MYSA provides very detailed instructions on all the processes on their ADULT REGISTRATION PROCESS page.
If you are having issues with the various requirements, the instructions can help.
Step 1: EVERY SOCCER YEAR, All Adults must register with MYSA.
You will register as either a:
- Returning User: If you have registered as an adult with Mass Youth Soccer before or are a parent of a registered player. When registering using Single Sign On make sure to link to the account with the username that holds your registration history; not sure call U.S. Soccer Connect. Click HERE for the Help Guide.
- New User: If you are brand new to Mass Youth Soccer (this will create an account for you in U.S. Soccer Connect). Click HERE for the Help Guide.
IMPORTANT: When registering, select Wakefield Soccer as the organization you will be participating with.

Step 2: Complete Required Training
- Safesport Abuse Prevention Training is required annually
- Concussion Training is required every 2 years
- MYSA resets all training statuses every June/July to reflect the training you must complete to participate in the coming year
After you complete Step 1 above, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for the training. You can follow these instructions but also note that if you have registered a player for the fall season, you might also be able to track and complete your training from the Volunteer tab in your SportsConnect account. - MYSA Credentials will start being available mid-August. Pick up days/times will soon be announced.
- If you have never been CORI-verified, print and sign your CORI acknowledgment form and bring it along with your driver’s license when you come to pick up your credentials.
- To print your CORI Acknowledgement form, after logging into your account, click on the Print Documents link located under your photo or under the Applications tab. Follow the Adult/CORI Registration line to the Receipt & Forms link, then click on that link to create and download your printable PDF CORI Acknowledgement Form. Log in Now
